Social Media Agency
A social media agency is the team that runs your brand's accounts consistently through strategy, a content calendar, community management and reporting. Digitruva brings these four jobs into one flow, and how incoming messages get answered is part of the plan.

What do we deliver in social media management?
Social media management delivers a strategy document, a content calendar, short-form video and visuals, community management, reporting and consulting where needed. Your needs determine which of these apply.
Account audit and strategy document
We review your accounts, competitors and target audience. Platform roles, content pillars and brand voice come together in one document.
Content calendar
Post dates, formats, copy and visual guidelines sit in a calendar that is ready for approval.
Short-form video and visual content
We prepare short video edits for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, along with post and story visuals.
Community management
We set up a response guide and a library of saved replies for comments and messages. An escalation flow is added for complaints and sensitive situations.
Reporting that leads to decisions
Reach, engagement, profile activity and traffic to your site are tracked. Post links are tagged with UTM parameters, and the report tells you what should change.
Social media consulting
Brands that produce content in-house get an audit, a roadmap and content guidelines. The plan and results are reviewed together.
How are platform roles defined?
Each platform is used for a distinct job, not for publishing the same content everywhere. The role depends on where the audience is and which content types can be produced.
- Discovery
- Short-form video and shareable content to reach new people. Success is measured by reach and new followers.
- Trust
- Content that shows your process, team and customer experience. Success is measured by saves and profile visits.
- Support
- Answers to frequently asked questions and message management. Success is measured by response consistency and resolved requests.
- Traffic
- Posts that send people to your site, a product or a quote page. Success is measured by site visits and conversions.
What information goes into the content calendar?
The calendar is more than a list of dates. Each row also shows why the content is being published and where it stands on approval.
- Publish date, platform and format
- Which content pillar and which role the content serves
- Production status of the copy and visuals
- Approval status and who approved it
- A UTM tag, if there is a link
- A short results note added after publishing
How does a piece of content get to approval and publishing?
The flow runs in the same order from audit to report, and no content goes live without your approval.
Discovery and audit
We clarify your goals, the state of your accounts and where your audience is.
Strategy and platform selection
Each platform's job, content pillars, brand voice and visual language are put in writing.
Calendar and production
The content calendar is prepared, and copy and visuals are produced.
Publishing and community
Approved content is published, and comments and messages are handled according to the response guide.
Reporting and improvement
Results are reviewed together, and what we learn shapes the next calendar.
Which brands need a social media agency?
It fits organizations that want to run their accounts consistently and measurably.
- Companies without an in-house social media team
- Brands whose accounts post irregularly and want a consistent publishing flow
- Businesses that need community management for comment and message traffic
- Organizations that want to manage several platforms with one plan
- Marketing managers with an in-house team who are looking for strategy and audit support
What to ask before hiring a social media agency
What does a social media agency do?
A social media agency builds a strategy for a brand's accounts, plans and produces content, publishes posts, manages comments and messages, and reports on results. Scope varies from agency to agency.
Some services stop at design and posting, so whether community management and reporting are included should be written down from the start. Before signing, ask what the monthly deliverables are, how approvals work and who will answer incoming messages.
At Digitruva these four jobs run within the same team and on the same calendar. Production follows the same plan as corporate content production, and nothing is published without your approval.
How much does social media management cost?
The cost of social media management depends on scope, and there is no single figure that applies to every brand. The main factors are the number of platforms, posting frequency, content type, the need for video shoots, the volume of comments and messages, and the depth of reporting.
Expected response times and the number of approval steps also affect the workload. The same number of posts means one workload when each is a single image and quite another when it requires shooting and editing.
The paid advertising budget sits outside this scope and is assessed separately. When comparing proposals, it is more useful to look at the monthly deliverables list, the limits of message management and the decisions the report covers than at the package name.
Which teams can get by with social media consulting alone?
Social media consulting is enough for companies that have an in-house team creating and publishing content but need direction, oversight or measurement support. In this model, execution stays with your team.
The consultant audits the accounts, clarifies platform roles and content pillars, writes guidelines and reviews results with the team regularly. If the team is a single person or production capacity is constantly short, consulting does not solve the problem, because the plan cannot be executed.
In that case social media management is the better starting point. A hybrid model can also work during a transition. The content plan comes from outside, while community communication stays with the in-house team that knows the product best. The decision depends on capacity and responsibility.
What does community management cover?
Community management means answering the comments, messages and tags an account receives in the brand's tone of voice. Its foundation is a response guide. The guide sets out frequent questions, saved replies, tone and which issues get handed to whom.
For complaints, returns or sensitive situations, an escalation flow kicks in and it is clear who approves the reply. How messages received outside business hours are handled is also agreed up front.
Digitruva includes the response guide and the saved-reply library in the deliverables and, when message traffic is heavy, moves recurring questions onto the content calendar. That way questions from the community become topics for the next posts, and the burden of answering the same question one by one shrinks.
Who should own the accounts in social media management?
The accounts should always remain the brand's own business assets. Granting permissions to an agency instead of sharing passwords is safer, because access can be removed when the engagement ends.
On Meta, an authorized person can share assets such as a Page and an Instagram account through partner access in Meta Business and can limit the scope of that access. Other platforms structure permissions differently, so each account should be checked separately.
During setup, it matters that the registered email address and phone number belong to the company and that two-step verification is managed in-house. That way the accounts and their historical data stay with the brand even if the service provider changes.
How do you measure the impact of social media work?
Measurement starts with the account's goal. If the goal is awareness, reach and views come first. If it is interest, engagement and saves matter most. If it is demand, profile activity and traffic to the website take the lead. Follower count alone does not show a business result.
To see the contribution on the website, bio and post links are tagged with UTM parameters, and GA4 then shows which post brought visits and conversions.
A Digitruva report does not end with follower numbers. It ends with a decision on which formats to scale and what to change. For audiences that organic content cannot reach, paid social media advertising is a separate budget decision.
